Pay-at-Closing Well Water Testing in North Carolina

Arrange private well water testing for your real estate transaction with an advance-approved Pay-at-Closing payment arrangement. Well Water NC coordinates sample collection, laboratory analysis, and reporting for VA, FHA, USDA, and Conventional loan files.

Pay-at-Closing is not automatic. Required agreements must be completed and accepted before service. Submitting a request does not confirm approval or an appointment.

How Pay-at-Closing Works

Pay-at-Closing allows the approved testing invoice to be included in the transaction's closing payment arrangements. Before testing, the payment responsibility and disbursement instructions must be documented in the accepted Service Agreement.

1. Request the Arrangement

Send the property address, closing date, loan type, lender details, and closing attorney or settlement contact.

2. Complete the Agreement

An authorized approving party completes the required agreement. Well Water NC reviews and confirms acceptance before service.

3. Follow the Payment Instructions

The accepted invoice and payment instructions must reach the closing party for payment directly to Well Water NC.

Approval Is Required Before Testing

The required agreement must be signed by an authorized representative, such as a brokerage, lender or mortgage company, loan officer or processor, closing attorney, settlement agent, title company, escrow agent, or other authorized approving person.

Confirm Payment Responsibility

The approving party accepts the payment responsibility stated in the Service Agreement. Booking a test or supplying a closing contact alone does not complete approval.

Confirm the Closing Instructions

Coordinate the arrangement with the closing attorney, settlement agent, or title company before service. Provide the invoice and accepted payment instructions.

The agreement link is provided at the top of the invoice. Contact Well Water NC if you cannot locate it.

Payment Must Be Made Directly to Well Water NC

Under the Pay-at-Closing arrangement, payment must be issued directly to Well Water NC from closing funds on the date of closing and mailed to Well Water NC using the invoice instructions.

Do not issue the testing payment to the buyer, seller, borrower, agent, lender, client, or another third party for forwarding.

Make sure the invoice is submitted and included in the closing arrangements. An omitted invoice or a payment sent to the wrong recipient does not resolve the payment obligation stated in the agreement.

The accepted Service Agreement governs payment responsibility, due dates, and any collection terms.

Pay-at-Closing Questions

Is Pay-at-Closing available automatically?

No. The arrangement requires advance approval and completed agreements accepted by Well Water NC before service.

Who needs to sign the agreement?

An authorized approving party must sign the required agreement and accept the responsibility described in it. Contact Well Water NC to confirm the signer for your transaction.

Where do I find the agreement?

The agreement link is provided at the top of the invoice. Contact us if you need help locating the link.

Who should receive the payment?

Payment must be issued directly to Well Water NC using the invoice instructions. Do not send the funds to another transaction participant for forwarding.

What if the borrower changes lenders?

Notify us immediately. Under the accepted agreement, a change of lender does not remove the approving party's payment responsibility.

What if the transaction is canceled?

Completed services remain payable under the accepted agreement. Notify us promptly so the payment arrangements can be confirmed. Appointment cancellation terms also apply as stated in the agreement.

Can Pay-at-Closing be combined with next-day service?

Ask before scheduling. Expedited testing depends on field and laboratory availability. Pay-at-Closing requires separate approval and accepted agreements.

Does an unsatisfactory result cancel the charge?

No. Testing charges cover the service performed, not a guaranteed passing result. Corrective action and retesting may be needed. Follow-up services are billed separately.

Does submitting the request confirm my appointment?

No. We must confirm availability, testing scope, fees, access, and the payment arrangement before the appointment is scheduled.
